The doors to the the barn are now closed for the 2023 Season. We would like to thank our staff and all of our wonderful customers for a great year. We had a lot of fun welcoming visitors from all over the world and are grateful for all of our return customers. Word of mouth for a small business means so much and we were always thankful to those who found their way to us through friends and family and other local businesses. We look forward to greeting you all again in the spring.
Shipping has also wrapped up for the season. Please contact us directly to see if we can accommodate local pick up or delivery throughout the off season.
The guest suite is closed for the 2023 season. Bookings will resume in the spring of 2024.

COVID-19 Service Updates
We are happy that normal operations throughout the province have resumed.
We continue respect that masks are at the discretion of our guests. Our staff may personally choose to wear them but will always wear them on request.
We are continuing to offer primarily seated tastings.
We still ask that customers follow all Public Health Guidelines and refrain from visiting the winery if they have any symptoms consistent with COVID-19

We will be open for tastings, tours, and wines sales as of May 20.23. The online shop for local delivery, shipping or pick up is now open.

Sanitizer will be available upon entering the winery.
Guests are asked not to enter if they exhibit any symptoms consistent with Covid-19.
All of our team members are fully vaccinated.
We will still maintain physical distancing between staff and guests during tastings. Tasting areas will be sanitized between guests.
Tasting in glass has resumed in the tasting room.
Guests have the option to purchase a new Bear River Vineyards glass for their tasting to keep. Glasses are $8.00
Curbside and In-Store Pick Up
Curb-side and In-Store pickup is available. Located at 133 Chute Road, Bear River, N.S. There is no minimum for this option. Orders of 3 bottles or more can be placed online and we will contact you to arrange a time. Please contact the winery directly for smaller orders.

Local Delivery
Delivery resumes May 2023 between Digby and Annapolis Royal.
Delivery between Annapolis Royal and the Wolfville or surrounding Valley area can also be arranged with notice.

Delivery day or week varies based on demand.
Someone over the age of 19 must be home to receive the order. Please have ID available.
We will contact you the day of delivery to give you a time window.
We regret we are unable to leave orders without confirmation.
Shipping
We are pleased to be able to offer shipping throughout Canada.
All orders are sent via Canada Post unless otherwise arranged.
A 3 bottle minimum order applies.
There is a flat rate, plus tax, of $20.00 within the Maritimes and $40.00 for the rest of the Canadian provinces, for orders of 3-12 bottles. Please contact winery directly for other quantities, or for delivery to the Territories.
You will be sent a tracking number once your wine is on its way. Winery turn around time is usually within one business day. Delivery time should be an additional 2-4 days however, Canada Post is not guaranteeing that at this time and longer wait times should be anticipated.
Please contact the Winery should you wish to discuss alternative courier arrangements. Please note additional charges may apply.
Tasting Experience and Fee
Tasting selections will change based on our available wines. We offer 3 one ounce pours for $5.00. This is a guided experience with a winery team member in the tasting room.
Tastings for less than 4 people do not typically need to be prebooked.
We strive to offer all guests a tour as part of their tasting experience as time allows. If you wish to ensure a tour as part of your tasting please see the section on the tour and tasting experience.
Private or Group Tour and Tasting Experience
Tours are available on a first come first served basis during our regular hours of operation and are offered as part of our tasting experience as time allows.
During the busy summer season guests may wish to call or email in advance to reserve a time to ensure availability. Email reservations will be confirmed by the winery.
We do encourage groups of 4 or more to prebook a private tour and tasting.
Reservations are at a cost of $10.00 per person including tax and will typically be hosted by one of our owners.
The tour and tasting experience is personalized so length can vary. Please allow yourself 20-45 minutes. Larger groups will commonly exceed this.
Guests are welcomed to enjoy a glass of wine in the vineyard following the tour and tasting experience. Glasses are $8.00 including tax for 5 ounces.
We are sorry but we are unable to offer food at this time however, guests may bring their own picnics to be enjoyed at one of our outdoor seating areas.

Guest Suite
Guest Suite is now closed for the 2023 Season. Please check back in May of 2024 when we will resume bookings through VRBO during the regular season. Please contact us directly for off season availability. Please note that due to the limitations of our barn we are unable to open during the winter months.
